I have been MIA for a while working on my school work. Glad this semester is almost over. Then a short break...and then back again!

Since my last post I have finished a baby blanket and the wine gift bag! Both turned out great! Posting pictures later! Baby blanket has been packaged up and is being shipped to the happy recipients--friends who are expecting their first!

This week new items will also be listed on ETSY! Looking to list the wine gift bag and a few felted flowers. The army tote purse will be listed and so will a black and gray purse (both felted).

The camo tote purse has been washed/felted and looks great. There are actually darker brown stripes going across the purse (diagonally).

This is going to be considered a medium size tote purse.

Will be up on ETSY (still working on re-doing my computer after having to reinstall everything). For some reason I can't figure out how to resize my images. I keep resizing them but nothing is happening. I can't upload them onto ETSY because they are too big :(

I will spend more time tonight messing with Adobe photoshop. Time to take Walt out to potty and off to tutor writing! The school semester is almost over!

I have been working a bit on the knit wine bottle tote...will be felted after complete. It is turning out really cute. Doing it in a pink and green stripe. It looks like a hot mess in the picture due to using 5 double pointed needles. Similar to making a sock on the double pointed needles. Hoping to be done with this by this evening and will post a final picture and then post to ETSY!

So I have finally made the apple crisp that I was going to make last night. Yes, it is late...but it smells ohhhh soooo good! Just means I have to workout hard tomorrow! After last nights ordeal with DELL it is well deserved!

I have searched through patterns and found a cute felted wine tote! What a perfect gift for the holidays. All of the Holiday parties that are going on...bringing a gift for the host/hostess...perfect...get a felted wine tote and put a bottle of wine and such a perfect gift! Will post pictures once I finish! Working on double pointed needles but am really debating about working on circular needles. Hmmmm, huge toss up!

Lots of projects going on right now along with school...def keeping myself busy!

Will post pictures ASAP--first felted wine tote will be done in pink and green stripes!
I have been working on a bunch of school work and haven't been able to update my blog. Today is my catch up day!

Yesterday I had a horrible time with my computer. It would start up and wouldn't do anything. It kept saying Hibernating... Called DELL and they talked me through a bunch of things to try to diagnose the problem. Then they said I had to reinstall the operating system. Well, lucky me...I hadn't backed up my work recently so I wasn't willing to lose it all. Went to the store and purchased a device that allowed me to take my harddrive out of my computer and put it into the device which hooks up to another computer. You can then access everything that was on the harddrive and back it up before losing it all during the reinstallation of the operating system. Successfully accomplished backing of the information and then I decided that I could complete the installation of the operating system. Ha...not really. I was up until 1:30 am talking to DELL trying to get everything installed correctly. I decided instead of keeping VISTA I am upgrading to Windows7. Well, of course something else has to happen...went into my school email to do the upgrade and the school server is down so I can't access it. What a crazy 2 days!

Now it's time to do as much school work as I can get done without being about to access the school email or blackboard.

Working on another ruffle dog sweater. The shrug is really coming along. Will post updated pictures soon! Now time to felt the camo purse and post pictures.

Enjoying the beautiful weather! Have the doors and windows open. Walt is sitting in his favorite seat on the couch positioned so he is looking outside. What a life he has!

Good afternoon! Another rainy day. Three days in a row. Luckily today the rain is on and off. These are the days that I wish I had a fenced in backyard to send the puppy out to potty -- that way I wouldn't get wet!
Going into today I have finished the camo purse! Now I just need to wash it (felting the purse)! Then dry and put up on Etsy. Have someone in mind who might possibly buy it! Young lady who met an Army soldier online while he was over seas in Afghanistan. they are meeting for the first time the beginning of December after over a year of talking online! Hoping that she decides to support him in camo when she meets him! My tote purse would be perfect! Posting pictures of purse before feltings and then will post the pictures of the purse after the felting process has been completed.

Walt's sweater is really coming along. Just need to make his arm holes and then finish it up! Kindof hard to determine where they are going to go since I have made the sweater bigger than his current size. Again ~ I don't want to have to make him another one for next month since by then he will grow even more! We are going to the vet tomorrow for a checkup, can't wait to see how much he weighs now.

Started a shrug last night after my class. Lots of concentrating while following the pattern. Should be perfect for the winter time! Very stylish! I am excited to see the final result! The picture on the instructions looks great, will look 10 times better with my time and effort put into it!

Time to get a little school work done. Posting pictures now.

I am getting the hang of setting up this blog. There are so many applications that can be added to the page. Trying not to overload it with all of the neat stuff!

I officially signed up for Twitter yesterday. Moving by leaps and bounds! Was told my a fellow Etsian to get out there and start a blog and to start twittering. Have done both now. We will see if things begin to pick up on Etsy.

I worked on Walt's sweater some yesterday. Now just need to make the armholes and then I can continue the pattern up to the cute bulky collar. Got some different color yarn to make another ruffle dog sweater.

Picked up some directions for a cute shawl and also a shrug! Look for those to be posted over the next couple of weeks. Lots of stuff coming up for school -- will do a little bit of knitting between breaks!

Updated pictures of Walt's sweater and the camo bag will be posted later. Time to get to work with a little school work before class tonight.

Hoping that everyone has a wonderful Veterans Day! Thank you to all of those that have served and those that are currently served -- Thank you!

Walt's Sweater!

Finally sitting down with a cup of "cozy chamomile" tea, my computer, needles, and yarn! Oh and of course the best way to knit...in my pajama pants and sweatshirt! Been a busy night working on a school project (many parts to it including a 10 page paper), dinner, and walking the puppy!

Wow, I didn't realize that it would be so difficult to guess-timate (is that a word?) Walt's future size. By the way...Walt was born May 24th, 2009 and is a golden retriever...and is growing as fast as a blink of the eye!

I originally started the pattern as instructed because the directions said that the sweater would stretch ... well not as much as I needed it to :( So after completing the sweater as instructed, taking all the stitches out, re-completing the sweater with additional stitches, taking all the stitches out, and nearly tripling the initially called for stitches I am finally on my way! My goal is to have the sweater a little big so Walt has room to grow into it during the winter.

Hoping to have the sweater complete by tomorrow night along with pictures of Walt modeling the sweater. I am going to make additional sweaters in this pattern~will be available on ETSY!

Posting a recent picture of Walt so everyone sees what a sweet puppy I am making a sweater for!

Goodnight BLOG!

I have officially finished a small ruffle dog sweater. It is really cute...yes I am biased about it...but really it is cute! The yarn that I used has strands of shiny yarn mixed into it to make it sparkle in the light. This sweater is just in time for the holidays!

I don't have a small dog...2 cats and a dog (golden retriever puppy) so I had to figure out a way to get pictures of the sweater. I was tempted to have one of the cats try it on however they wouldn't be able to sit still for a second to take a picture. They would be running around like crazy. I went to the neighbors since they have a smaller female dog...she was wonderful! Bella really enjoyed the frills of the sweater! Hopefully she enjoys being a model because she has many more sweaters to try on!

Now onto working on a sweater for Walt. I actually did make him one the other day but it fit just right. By next week it would be a bit tight and the week after it would be too small. So now the adventures of adjusting the pattern to a larger size to fit him over the course of the next month or so. Stay tuned for pictures of Walt's sweater!
